When should a railing be installed on a terrace?
A railing must be installed on a terrace or in its vicinity when the height of potential falling exceeds half a meter and there is a risk of falling or stepping off. The railing must be safe and capable of withstanding the applied loads. It can be a protective railing or an open railing. A protective railing must be used in locations with level differences exceeding 0.7 meters and accessible to children. The protective part of the railing must extend to a minimum height of 0.7 meters from the platform or step surface. It should not have horizontal structures or patterns that allow climbing. An open railing can be used in areas inaccessible to children or without a risk of falling. An alternative arrangement that prevents falling or achieves the required safety level can be used instead of a railing when the height difference is up to one meter. The total height of the railing must be one meter when the falling height is up to six meters. For balconies serving a single dwelling, a one-meter-high railing is sufficient regardless of the falling height.

Railing elements are installed according to the provided instructions. Fasteners and a suitable driver bits are included in the delivery. All you need for installation is a drill driver.
